Who is behind The Adventure Edit?

Hi there, we’re Jack and Jess, two corporate professionals from Melbourne, Australia who decided to swap our spreadsheets and meetings for passport stamps and adventure.

After years of balancing work and travel, we couldn’t see how we could fulfil our desire to explore the world on only four weeks of annual leave. In 2025, we decided to take a career break, pack our bags, and embark on what will be the adventure of our lifetime.

The Adventure Edit is our way of sharing the highs, unexpected lows and everything in between as we embark on an indefinite career break. From in-depth city itineraries, tips on how to budget for long-term travel, and find off the beaten experiences, our goal is to inspire everyone to take the leap and travel.     Hi, I’m Jess!

    Born with a passport practically in hand, I took my first international trip at just 9 weeks old and I haven’t stopped exploring since! From hiking with monks in northern Thailand to hunting down the best coffee spots in every city, I’m all about diving headfirst into new cultures, epic adventures, and finding unforgettable experiences.
